Government

Under SC law, SCMHI holds a seat on the state agency board that governs the modular industry in the State, the SC Building Codes Council.

SCMHI was at the SC Statehouse every day of the legislative session in 2009. We believe that the only way to successfully monitor and influence state law is to physically be there day-in, day-out. For an up to the minute briefing on pending issues and legislation, members can e-mail
mdillard@SCModularHome.com.

Members of the association can order a complete collection of modular laws, regulations and fact sheets. Members may download the SCMHI order form by clicking here.

Modular Steering Committee

The SCMHI is governed by a board currently composed of the CEO or GM of Haven Homes, Carolina Modular, Inc.; Crestline Homes; Blue Ridge Log Cabins, Manis Custom Builders, R-Anell Homes, a representative of Champion Homes (the owner of New Era and CBS) as well as Residential Builders active in the modular industry.
